Location: EMEA (Any applicants based outside EMEA will be automatically discarded)

We help businesses take advantage of modern AI technologies. We are developing neural search solutions that allow everyone to use state-of-the-art neural network encoders at the production scale. At the same time, we help companies to integrate our technology into their infrastructure. Our flagship product is the open-source Vector Database: https://github.com/qdrant/qdrant

Among the technical challenges, we are facing is the implementation of our cloud infrastructure to serve our engine as a scalable cloud API solution. We are looking for a Support Engineer to ensure stable and secure operability of our managed solutions.

Tasks

  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and issues related to our vector database products and our SaaS offering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Develop and extend our support tooling, including database and cloud operations.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support coverage for critical issues.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their unique use cases and provide effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of support documentation.
  • Participate in developing tools to automate daily operations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Go or Python.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing support role.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
  • Candidates need to be based in EMEA. Any applicants based outside EMEA will be automatically discarded.

One or more of the following is a big plus.

  • Familiarity with vector databases or similar data storage technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
