As the Chief of Staff for Alpaca Engineering, you will work directly with the CTO and lead a proactive role in reducing friction and organizational complexity by streamlining organizational processes. You will play a pivotal role in communicating the CTO's technical vision and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CTO to define and execute the company's technical strategy, including product development, technology investments, and innovation initiatives.
- Project Management: Oversee key projects, ensuring they are aligned with company goals, and manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Communication Facilitation: Act as a bridge between the CTO and other departments as well as key partners and vendors; ensuring that information flows efficiently, decisions are communicated effectively, and cross-functional teams collaborate seamlessly.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and opportunities that can enhance the company's technical capabilities.
- Executive Support: Provide high-level administrative support to the CTO, including meeting preparation, and prioritizing tasks to maximize their productivity.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, investors, and key stakeholders to support the company's growth and strategic objectives.
- Policy & Compliance Development: Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures related to technology, data security, and compliance. Proactively work with auditors and industry regulators.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a technology leadership role, such as a software engineer, software architect, or technical project manager.
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing complex projects.
